Children's Art Biennale
Children’s Art Biennale is a two-year project in which art for children is approached from an interdisciplinary perspective. Subsequent editions pursue different main themes. Artistic activities are accompanied by a fringe project, Children’s Art Observatory, a meeting for those involved in children’s art. It also includes artistic presentations.
Children’s Art Observatory – the event is divided into two episodes: the halfway one (autumn) and the Festival (spring). The halfway part is further divided into the Forum (the discussion part) and the Laboratory (the workshops part). As part of the Festival, a group of people interested in art for children gathers within the frame of Observatory in order to participate in artistic events and discussions, and to prepare theme-specific texts and interviews with artists, which are then published in a catalogue.
Children’s Art Biennale – the Festival – the most important moment in the biennial cycle, a great celebration of art for children. The Festival is a week full of artistic events, joy and fun. It features artistic projects produced for the purpose of presentation at the Biennale, as well as guest events.
25th Children’s Art Biennale will have to culminate points:
- Children’s Art Observatory on 10-11 October 2024
- festival from 25 May to 1 June 2025.
