So what is it that fathers actually do all day long? Why do they keep photos of their kids in the office, but have no photos of their colleagues at home? Are all fathers alike? And first of all, how to describe such a person – who is he really?
Facts about Daddies (Fakty o tatusiach) is a fun field study of the phenomena of fathers. Survey performed by a few-year-old “researcher,” an expert on daddies – a daughter who spends the day with her father, watching him closely. This is a book written from the perspective of a child who observes her father during everyday activities and has her own, often non-obvious, thoughts on the subject. As a result, we observe a warm and humorous family relationship, unforced and very natural – dads try their best, but just like for everyone, things don’t always work out perfectly.
This is the first book created by the Scandinavian duo, author Oskar Koon and illustrator Jenny Lucander, translated into Polish by Anna Maria Czernow.
Book-related creative events for families will allow us to look at family relationships from the child’s perspective. The book will serve as a pretext for literary and artistic games. The creators will ensure that the proposed activities bring children and (not only) dads together.
