How can we take care of our children’s future? What can we do to ensure that they have everything they need in life? Sometimes, these and other questions keep adults up at night. When we look into the distant future, we sometimes lose sight of what’s NOW.
Join us for this workshop to immerse yourself in the here and now, enjoy the moment and your relationships.
This is an event full of spontaneous movement, adapted to the needs of young children and their adult caretakers. Without comparison or pressure, we will put the imagination of our bodies to work. We will look at the emotions that we feel in a given time and try to name them. Such moments, full of paying attention to each other, being attentive and close, strengthen the relationship with children. They also bring a lot of joy, while at the same time supporting creativity.
As we play, we will use big, rustling sheets of paper that can become whatever we want them to be. An island? Or maybe a shelter? We will stack and rustle them, use them as hideouts or coverups. We will play with our children beside other families. Who knows, maybe we will even build one big, social city with all our bodies?
In the process, the participants will be taken care of by artists from the KOLEKTTACZ collective, who love working with families. Make sure to dress comfortably, in clothes that don’t restrict your movement, and wear warm socks. The event is designed for two- to three-year-olds with their adult relatives and tailored to the needs of children with different sensory sensitivities.
