Closeness is important is a screening of short films, all of which were selected by children. During the winter holidays, within three days of intensive work, the young selectors agreed on common criteria and decided which films would be presented at the 24. Children’s Art Biennale.

Today, we can see what choice they made. We will have a chance to enjoy films from different parts of the world, dealing with the theme of relationships – in a fairy-tale or realistic convention. The films discuss creating and nurturing interpersonal relationships that are important for children and adolescents: with their parents, grandparents, siblings, and peers.

How do we deal with strict parents who don’t pay attention to our needs? What to do when our grandmother appears to be the most boring person in the world? How do we make good a sisterhood relationship that suddenly went wrong? What to do if we are experiencing violence? Is it possible to think only about oneself without paying attention to other people?

Join us for a screening of films selected by the young audience.
